Come join us for this annual fundraiser for Williamson County Master Gardener Association (WCMGA), a 501c3 organization. The mission of the WCMGA is to provide research-based horticultural education, while promoting environmental stewardship, via community volunteerism delivered by a dedicated and skilled volunteer network. Looking for donations of garden related items!

Do you need to declutter or get rid of used garden tools, potting supplies, lawn and garden power equipment (in working order), garden related housewares or knick-knacks, yard art, etc.? The Williamson County Master Gardeners are looking for garden related donations for our upcoming Garden Festival and Plant Sale! We would love to include your items to sell in our “Garden Shed” area. Proceeds from our sale will be used to support our various horticulture and educational projects in Williamson County. We can pick up items. From books and puzzles to seeds and plants, our local libraries offer a variety of resources to educate and entertain. Representatives from the Williamson County Public Library and the John P. Holt Brentwood Library will lead a discussion on the services they offer for children, teens, and adults. Learn about their seed libraries, plant swaps, and garden talks as well as print collections, digital resources, book clubs, and programs.

Plants for Pollinators:  Learn how the needs of our pollinators are served across the seasons by herbaceous perennials, shrubs and trees that are pollinator magnets

Susan Ramsey - Middle Tennessee Hosta Society President and Williamson County Master Gardener 
Learn about the amazing variety of sizes, colors, and shapes in the genus hosta. Hear growing tips, suggestions for dealing with pests, and where to buy plants locally.  Watch a demonstration as the speaker divides a hosta and re-pots the divisions.

About the Speaker:  Susan Ramsay is a retired music educator who lives in Franklin, Tennessee. She has been a Master Gardener since 2005 and enjoys gardening on a two-acre property. She and her husband grow vegetables inside a deer fence, and have a sunny cottage garden with flowers and blueberries. Susan particularly enjoys her shade garden which has ferns, hellebores, and lots and lots of hosta. She raises trillium and other spring ephemerals and many native plants. 
A long-time member of the Middle Tennessee Hosta Society, she currently serves as its president.
Her presentation will be Great Hostas for Tennessee. She will share general information on growing hosta, and share challenges and triumphs that she has experienced with the genus hosta.
