Come join us for this annual fundraiser for Williamson County Master Gardeners Association (WCMGA), a 501(c)(3) organization. The mission of the WCMGA is to provide research-based horticultural education, while promoting environmental stewardship, via community volunteerism delivered by a dedicated and skilled volunteer network. 10:00 a.m.: PLANTS FOR POLLINATORS; Anita Tilley – Williamson County Master Gardener; Attracting pollinators to your landscape requires a reliable food source. Discover easy-to-grow plants that will feed your pollinators across the seasons.; About our speaker:; Following a 35-year career as a financial executive and Chief Financial Officer, Anita became a Master Gardener in 2018. Her love of all things plant-related and digging in the dirt drives her passion. Anita serves on the WCMGA Speakers Bureau as well as the Ask the Expert UT Diagnostic Team.
11:00 a.m.: A BOUNTY OF BUTTERFLIES; Francie Owens – Williamson County Master Gardener; We'll talk about attracting butterflies into your garden and how to help raise monarch and black swallowtail butterflies.; About our speaker:; After finding a black swallowtail chrysalis on some garden debris, Master Gardener Francie Owens brought it inside to protect it and was thrilled when the butterfly emerged later. She was hooked! After much research and experience, she now has a garden filled with butterfly host plants and loves providing a safe habitat where she can observe every stage of the butterfly lifecycle.
12:00 p.m.: WHY I FELL IN LOVE WITH HYDRANGEAS; Lisa Forsythe – Williamson County Master Gardener; In this talk, Lisa will share what she's learned about selecting the right hydrangeas for your area, where they thrive best, and how to care for them.; About our speaker:; Speaker bio coming soon. 1:00 p.m.: VEGGIES AND SPICE AND EVERYTHING NICE IN A RAISED BED; Ann Harvey – Williamson County Master Gardener; How to add a raised bed garden to your landscape and what will grow in a raised bed.; About our speaker:; Growing up on a farm, now retired from a long science and education career, Ann is happy to be part of WCMGA since 2008 and enjoys growing vegetables and herbs in Tennessee and helping others do the same.

The Williamson County Master Gardeners are looking for garden-related donations for our upcoming Garden Festival and Plant Sale! We would love to include your items to sell in our “Garden Shed” area. Proceeds from our sale will be used to support our various horticulture and educational projects in Williamson County. We can pick up items.
