Located next to the site of the Franklin Farmer’s Market at The Factory, multiple raised garden beds filled with edible plants are maintained by the Williamson County Master Gardener Association interns. For their 2019 class projects, program interns planted medicinal herbs, a drought tolerant garden, pizza and salsa gardens and demonstrated a new growing method with straw bales. The hope of these small raised beds is to demonstrate to Williamson County residents that much can be grown within a limited space. Edible Uprising is a community garden and visitors are welcome to harvest its crops throughout the growing season.
